Manama, Apr. 5 (BNA): Special Envoy for Climate Affairs and CEO of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Daina participated in the UAE Regional Dialogue for Climate Action.
The special envoy praised the efforts made by the UAE to unifying international visions and face climate change.
SCE CEO noted the importance of such meetings that enhance regional and international cooperation to accelerate the pace of climate action and pave the way towards optimal international readiness for the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26).
He pointed out that the institutional investment in the clean energy market in Bahrain is continuously developing despite the limited geographical area of the Kingdom.
Dr. Bin Dainah highlighted how Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 played a major role in directing investments to clean energy technologies that reduce carbon emissions, reduce pollution and enhance work to provide sustainable energy resources.
The special envoy invited the states who signed the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change to participate in the workshop that Bahrain will host to discuss green technology, the road to Glasgow and the challenges of the Paris Agreement, in cooperation with the UK.
He noted the Kingdom’s welcome of information and experiences exchange in the field of modern institutional technologies aimed at preserving the environment.
