Manama, Mar. 24 (BNA): Artificial Intelligence is increasingly being used and adopted as technological advancements boost up verticals all across the globe. Though the use of AI remains largely unregulated in the judicial sector, a lot of research and studies have stated and shared good practices to promote the ethical and rightful use of Artificial Intelligence in Law and Justice. According to reports, while Artificial Intelligence brings with it a great potential for improvement, judiciaries should be mindful of potential challenges to ethical principles, such as transparency, accountability and impartiality when developing new projects.
The first International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Judicial Practice on March 28 will emphasize on how judiciaries have begun the early usage of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve courtroom efficiencies and showcase some of the pioneering examples and real-life cases.
The conferences will also focus on how national and state judicial systems should encourage the construction of future systems with the use of AI and how I can help identify, predict and mitigate future risks and challenges.
It will also discuss what AI can do for the administration of justice, which form of AI has already proven itself for these different processes, and whether legal information can be made more usable for AI.
The conference will be held under the patronage of Abdullah bin Hassan Al Buainian, President of the Court of Cassation and Deputy President of the Supreme Judicial Council, and will be chaired by Dr. Jassim Haji, President of the Artificial Intelligence Society, Bahrain.
The speakers will be Dr Latifa Al Abdulkarim, Member of the Saudi Shura Council Assistant Professor in AI and Law, Yannick Meneceur,
Expert to the Ethics & AI Observatory of the Sapiens Institute, Jean-Marc Goossens, Attorney, Guest Law Teacher, Singapore Management University and Gael Boven, Attorney in Blockchain technologies, Artificial Intelligence and cryptocurrencies.
Ahmed Saleh Al Balushi, General Manager, Fintech Information Technology Consulting, will moderate the conference.
