Manama, Apr. 5 (BNA): Assistant Foreign Minister, Abdulla bin Faisal bin Jabur Al Doseri, today received the Chief of Mission of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and Acting Resident Coordinator of United Nations activities in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mohammed Al-Zarqani.
The Assistant Foreign Minister appreciated the constructive role played by Mr. Mohammed Al Zarqani and his participation in the National Action Plan for Human Rights workshops, in addition to his efforts to develop the strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and United Nations’ bodies and agencies.
He also praised the distinguished initiatives launched by the United Nations and the tangible role of the United Nations Development Programme in achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, stressing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to continue its cooperation and strategic partnership with the United Nations bodies and agencies in order to achieve the desired goals.
Mohammed Al Zarqani expressed his pleasure to have met with the Assistant Foreign Minister, praising the efforts exerted in organising the human rights workshops. He also underlined the UN’s interest in cooperating with Bahrain at all levels, wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.
